Ballesteros and McIlroy join Tiger on Euro PGA Tour 14 cover
EA Sports recently announced Rory McIlroy and Seve Ballesteros as co-cover athletes for the European version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14. Yes, Tiger Woods is on the cover of his game as well, but he's flanked by the legendary Ballesteros and current top pro golfer McIlroy this year, marking the first time the series has featured three athletes on its cover. Fingers crossed for a fourth face next year.
Woods will be joined by Arnold Palmer on the North American cover, while Bubba Watson and Bobby Jones will be featured on the Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14: The Masters Historic Edition cover. All-new Legends of the Majors Mode Relives Rich Golf History While Battling Icons from Around the World
January 24, 2013 – Golf Hall of Famer Seve Ballesteros, world No. 1 and two-time major winner Rory McIlroy will appear with living legend Tiger Woods on the cover of the Tiger Woods PGA TOUR14, marking the first time in the franchise's 29 year history that three golfers have appeared on a cover together. The European edition of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14 will be released in the UK and Ireland on March 28.
A Spanish golf legend, Ballesteros was one of the dominant forces in golf during the 1970's and early 1980's, winning the Masters Tournament twice and the Open Championship three times. Known for his imaginative and intuitive style of play, Ballesteros won a record 50 times on the European Tour and compiled an impressive 91 total professional wins during his career. Ballesteros passed away in 2011, but he is beloved by many and still honored today, and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1999.

McIlroy, the current number one ranked golfer in the world at only 23-years-old, and one of the longest hitters on tour, returns to share the cover of the game with Tiger Woods for the third time in franchise history. McIlroy, who recently signed a major sponsorship deal with Nike, will be outfitted in the game with all his new gear, ringing true to the EA SPORTS motto "It's in the game!"
Woods completes the trio of cover athletes. Coming off a three PGA TOUR tournament win season and currently ranked as the number two golfer in the world, Woods continues his pursuit of becoming the all-time PGA TOUR win leader (74) and major championships leader (14) behind Sam Snead and Jack Nicklaus respectively.
All three golfers will join a roster of over 35 playable characters in Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14, including the legendary golfers Ben Hogan, Bobby Jones, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Sam Snead and Lee Trevino.
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 will give players a chance to experience golf's rich history by allowing them to travel back in time and take down some of the greatest legends in the game. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14 will also feature 20 golf courses on disc, era-specific equipment and attire and all-new features such as night golf and the inclusion of the LPGA.
Arnold Palmer will join Woods on the cover of the North American edition of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14, while Jones and Bubba Watson will be on the global version of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 14: The Masters Historic Edition.
