Ticket to Ride choo-choos onto Android


Rail baron board game Ticket to Ride is ready to pick up players on Android tablets. Along with the standard solo passenger play, Android users can also compete against players who own versions on Steam, Mac, iPad or are playing through publisher Days of Wonder's online portal.

Beyond the standard USA map, In-app purchasing is also available for the Asia, Europe, Switzerland and USA 1910 maps. Check the PR after the break for compatibility with your Android device. The ticket to ride on Android will cost $6.99.

Ticket to Ride Goes Android - Now Available on Google Play (Finally!)

Today Days of Wonder released a new digital version of its award-winning game - Ticket to Ride® for Google Play. For the first time folks from Mountain View to Timbuktu can experience the joy of the world's best selling train game on their Android tablets. This version of Ticket to Ride leverages the updated graphics and UI design that debuted in the PC Steam version and made online play so popular among all Ticket to Ride users.
Ticket to Ride on Android includes:
• SOLO and online game play on the classic Ticket to Ride USA map that made the original board game so compelling and popular (2 million copies and counting)
• In-game purchasing for all of the previously released digital maps and variants, including Asia, Europe, Switzerland, and USA 1910.
• Four distinct Ai personalities to compete against
• Players on Android can challenge rail barons playing on other platforms including Steam PC and Mac, iPad, and on Days of Wonder's online portal
• Contextual in-game Conductor's Notes (web-based rules) to help you master all the maps

Integration with the Android platform is seamless with a zero-click signup at first launch. Ticket to Ride players on Android will find plenty of online competition as they'll join the same online player community that hosts tens of thousands of live opponents who are ready to play 24/7.
Ticket to Ride for Google Play will run on Android tablets with a minimum screen size of 1024x600 (1280x800 or higher recommended), using Android version 4.0.3 or higher. These include the popular Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablets.
