Shadow of Mordor forms a fellowship of gaming's acting talent

Warner Bros. revealed Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor brings together an array of gaming's most famous voices, including Troy Baker, Nolan North and Laura Bailey. Baker, who's featured in lead parts for The Last of Us, BioShock: Infinite and Infamous: Second Son, stars in the Lord of the Rings adventure as player character Talion.

WB also unveiled veteran TV, film and game composer Garry Schyman as the man behind the game's music, following his award-winning score for BioShock: Infinite.
Baker's character of Talion is a Ranger of the Black Gate who's seeking vengeance against Sauron for murdering his family. Uncharted star North features in Shadow of Mordor as the Black Hand, and Bailey, whose credits include Catherine (Catherine), the FF13 trilogy (Serah) and Persona 4 games (Rise), plays Gondor healer Ioreth. The game also features Darksiders lead Liam O'Brien as no less than Gollum, and Alistair Duncan as Wraith.

Accordng to Joystiq's Ludwig Kietzmann, Monolith Proudctions' Shadow of Mordor "appears to be something in the same vein as Assassin's Creed, but it's much more than that." That's thanks to an array of interesting systems governing the world of Mordor, and how you're able to manipulate them. To see all of that in action, check out our new video preview.
