French RPG Shiness is a manga in motion, coming in 2015

Upcoming RPG Shiness by French studio Ynnis Interactive is pretty. Absurdly pretty. Like, pretty to the point that we just wrote a poem we'd like to share. Ahem. "Shiness: Shall we compare thee to a summer's day? Thou art more colorful and possessing at least one giant sky-whale with a forest on its back - which frankly, ain't something you see everyday, summer or otherwise."

Okay, so the poem could use some work. That's okay though, because we have until next year to perfect our leet literary skills. According to the game's Kickstarter campaign - which recently surpassed its $100,000 goal - we can expect Shiness to brighten up our Mac and PC machines in Q1 2015. Should funding reach $170,000, Shiness will also make an appearance on Wii U.

The world and story of Shiness appear to be vast and intricately detailed (both literally and figuratively), featuring five playable characters of differing races and possessing various elemental powers. There's war, political intrigue, subterfuge, magic, floating islands and more - and if this sounds a bit like something that should be a manga, well ... it is. Shiness' Kickstarter will fund the creation of not only the game, but a digital comic series meant to give players more insight into the world.

Shiness has five days of funding left in its campaign.
