Here's some quick numbers that Tim Cook shared at WWDC 2014 this morning regarding OS X Mavericks and its adoption.

  • 12% Mac growth in the past year versus a negative growth for the industry overall.
  • More than 40 million copies of Mavericks installed since October, most in Apple's history.
  • More than 50% of install base working on latest OS. Cook says this is the fastest adoption ever.
  • By comparison, only 14% of Windows users have adopted the latest version of Windows.
