Eric Chahi's classic side-scrolling adventure game Another World (aka Out of This World) is coming to the PlayStation 4 next week, publisher The Digital Lounge announced today.

Originally released for the Amiga and Atari ST computers in 1991, Another World later saw popular ports for the Super NES and Sega Genesis in North America, introducing console audiences to its harsh otherworldly environments filled with alien peril. Another World saw another resurgence in popularity in 2011 with a 20th anniversary release for PC platforms, followed by ports for iOS and Android devices.

Next week's PlayStation 4 port boasts high-resolution, redrawn backdrops and a cinematic soundtrack, along with Cross-Buy and Cross-Save functionality for upcoming PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions.
