One Shots: A horse and his girl

I have a strong suspicion that ArcheAge is about to become one of the most screenshotted games when it launches in the West. Until that fateful day on which my inbox will explode with pics, here's reader Balsbigbrother to tease a little of what is to come.

"Here's a quick screen shot of my character Celosia and her faithful horsey companion Chapp taken during the first closed beta weekend," Balsbigbrother writes. "It's a really gorgeous-looking game, and I also really appreciate the fact that the female characters have sensible, functional-looking armour for the most part rather than the usual bikini armour nonsense."

But what about bikini horse armor? For shame, that beast is practically nude! For more shocking and lurid photos, click on the button below and make sure your mom isn't standing over your shoulder.

Man, you actually clicked on the link? You're much more depraved than I thought. Also, gullible.

Our next entry into the Prude Museum of Fully Clothed Avatars is from reader Carl, who took me up on the screenshot challenge to take a picture from a different perspective.

"Here is my Chua, MrHuggles, being stalked in my backyard by my roommate in WildStar," Carl writes. After that, we didn't hear anything from Carl. Frankly, I'm starting to become concerned.

If hairy beasts are more your thing, first of all, please do not tell me. Second, we have this fantastic entry from reader Derrick to tide you over until your big game safari.

"I snapped a few pictures in Mabinogi while me and a friend were commercing over the double weekend," Derrick shares. "The little alpaca pet can hold more than both horses, surprisingly."

I believe you -- alpacas are the unsung heroes of primitive transportation!

Everyone pumped up for Star Wars Episode VII? Hopefully it's as cool as the following screenshot from reader Vunak, who took the ultimate selfie in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

"My friend and I have always attempted to get to places we aren't meant to be, and this game was no exception. We used a combination of Death From Above and Force Push, followed by my grappling him up to where I ended up. In this screenshot it happened to be a huge structure in the middle of Voss. Nothing screams 'Star Wars epic moment' to me more than this scene. While there isn't a large enemy waiting to be engaged on the other side of this, by the look of my Bounty Hunter Jach and his Sithlord Elara, you wouldn't know any better."

That's it for today! Our screenshot challenge of the week is to take a picture of something odd and unusual -- the odder and more unusual, the better!

Want to be featured in a future edition of One Shots? Send your favorite MMO screenshots to oneshots@massively.com, and don't forget to include your name, the name of the game, and a description of the scene. Large, colorful, UI-free shots that tell a story and really show off the game make for the best images. Look ma, we brought back One Shots!
