Supply of iPhone 6 Plus dwindles as Apple processes record number of pre-orders overnight

Apple kicked off pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus overnight in a launch that was marked by server problems for Apple's online store. Though the supply of the Plus model appears to be especially constrained, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 remains available, although several colors and capacities are now beginning to show extended lead times of 7 to 10 days as of the writing of this post. Apple confirmed in a statement provided to Re/Code that the company processed a record number of preorders, saying that, "response to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has been incredible."
