Apple announces the Retina iPad mini 3 with Touch ID, $399 price tag
Apple today announced the latest addition to its iPad mini lineup -- the Retina iPad mini 3. The mini 3 is a small improvement over last generation's model with a new Touch ID fingerprint sensor and different storage options. Other specs remain the same from the Retina iPad mini 2, including the A7 processor, 2048‑by‑1536 resolution display and 5-megapixel iSIght camera.
The Retina iPad mini will be priced at $399 for a 16GB model, $499 for 64GB and $599 for 128GB. Pre-orders start tomorrow with an on-sale date of next week, most likely on October 24.
