Take a shot at Battlecry's first three class types

In a world where gunpowder is banned, a massive sword that can transform into a shield isn't so outlandish. This gunless world hosts the team-focused, free-to-play Battlecry, which Bethesda Softworks detailed three class types for during a panel at PAX Australia.

The Enforcer wields the aforementioned transforming sword, as well as the beefiest health stats in the game. Each attack blocked by an Enforcer's shield builds adrenaline, which can be used as fuel for stronger attacks.

In contrast, the Tech Archer is an at-a-distance character, both due to having the best attack range in the game and a general vulnerability to getting stabbed. Should their spacious personal bubble be invaded, Tech Archers can use a Sonic Shot ability to push opponents away from them.

The Duelist is even more fragile than Tech Archers, but as a trade off, they deal immense damage up close with dual blades. Duelists will have to use stealth to survive an approach, but being able to cloak should help with that feat.

Each of these classes have ultimate attacks and can use grapple hooks to maneuver Battlecry's environments. Should a playstyle not feel like the right fit, players can switch classes mid-match to find something more suitable, with the yet-to-be-detailed Brawler and Gadgeteer serving as additional options. Battlecry's players will clash on PC, with a beta beginning in 2015 for Australia and New Zealand before ushering in warriors from other territories.
