Bloodborne isn't delivering on February 6, 2015 as scheduled, after Sony announced a month-and-a-half delay for the PS4 game. The new action-RPG from Souls studio From Software is now due to launch on March 24 in North America and March 25 in mainland Europe. Japan follows suit on March 26, then UK and Ireland are last up on March 27.

"While development continues unabated, we would like our team to deliver the best possible final experience," Sony's Masaaki Yamagiwa said on the PS Blog. "We were gratified by the feedback and data we received from those who participated in our limited alpha test. The extra production time will also allow us to better integrate these learnings."

It's worth noting the game's alpha test didn't go 100 percent smoothly, which is somewhat the point of an alpha test. From had to postpone the alpha's final session by a couple of weeks following undisclosed issues. Meanwhile, a number of crafty testers were able to worm their way past designated boundaries, finding plenty of unannounced content.

While Bloodborne clearly shares some Souls DNA, its Victorian flavor, emphasis on offense over defense, and PS4-powered graphics make it stand apart from the studio's fare. Also, it's not called "Blood Souls," so that's kind of a clue.

That said, there's always space for a Blood Souls. Get on that, From. Thanks.
