How lordofhell became King Mechaghidorah
Ok, so here I am. Posting on Engadget for the very first time and I truly feel like a student writing my first essay. In front of class. A freaking huge class, I must say. I decided to choose something from drafts, for a good and smooth start, and the choice is – the history of my screen name. Or, in my case, names.
It all begins with a catchy, oldschool nickname lordofhell. Well, yeah, I know it's kind of lame, but come on – I was about 16 when I came up with this masterpiece of screen-names-art. I need to create my first e-mail, and I was a passionate metalhead, so the choice was simple: I needed something with hell and power. Evil power, sesesese. So lordofhell it was! In fact, I was so attached to this nickname, that several years later, creating my Gmail account, I thought – oh, screw it, I'm gonna be lordofhell again. So I added my initials and I bet there were some exorcisms in Google, when they saw it.
But after a few years I thought, that maybe lordofhell is not so catchy at all, shame on me. And I needed something shorter for an accounts on Steam, PSN, Origin and all the rest. It wasn't easy to get rid of lordofhell, but it had to be done. And so ghidora87 has been born. And it's my screen name for any kind of fun in the web. Except Instagram – there I am known as @King_Mechaghidorah. And well, yeah, my Twitter name is boring, because it's just @MjJadczak.
Why ghidora or King_Mechaghidorah? Do you remember an oldschool Godzilla? The one with man, not Jean Reno, inside? Well, there was a monster called King Ghidorah. "Holy moly, it's an epic three-headed cosmic dragon fighting Godzilla!". Yep, it was. And what's better, one of his heads was mechanical later. King Mechaghidorah, right? It makes sense so perfect, I'd like to send it to CERN. "Look guys, we got it. The essense. Cosmic dragon."
And so I am known as ghidora87 and King_Mechaghidorah. That's my story. What's yours?
