Steve Jobs Book of Secrets
The thought of Apple reaching peak iPhone has been on my mind for at least a few years now. I always wondered where the company would go once they have been beat by Samsung and mainly Google.
Personally I like the iPhone.
Ever since Android became available, there has been this waging war between Android fanboys and Apple nerds on who has the better product. Since the first flavor of Android came out, all products released with Android have been competing to catch up with Apple, hoping to outperform the company. That day has possibly come with Alphabet becoming the most valued company in the world. I don't hate them for taking Apple's spot, I applaud them.
The problem I see is that ever since Tim Cook took the wheel at Apple, everything hasn't been steady. It took two iterations of the iPhone to finally deliver a bigger display – which a lot of fanboys hated Apple for- and now with the 6s versions out, the company hasn't been able to make record sales as they used to. Taking a closer look at what Apple is doing, the company has poured all of their heart and energy into this one device that has brought millions in revenue.
Peak iPhone is probably here, or maybe upon us. The rumor mills have been churning out some crazy ideas of what they speculate the iPhone 7 to look like. Features such as removing the home button have been thrown around for quite some time. Aside from what the iPhone 7 will look like, Apple needs to turn some of their efforts into the other fields of technology like VR. According to some reports, the company is currently developing a team to create such a thing but Apple has kept quiet.
The Apple Car was probably their first attempt that the mass public even heard of when it came to Apple dabbling in other areas of technology that could possibly make up for the loss in iPhone sales. Recent reports suggest that the Apple Car has hit a snag. The question is though,
"What did Steve Jobs want?"
While Jobs was still living, what plans did this man have inside of his head? Of course he had to have wrote them down right? Plus, who passes on a company to another man without notes? Sure Tim Cook could has been by Steve's side and learned the ways of Apple, but what I have been thinking for some time now is that Steve foresaw the future and created mounds of ideas to keep his company alive. Just like President Obama has the presidential book of secrets, I honestly think that Tim Cook has a book containing ideas and current projects that Steve Jobs had floating around in that genius brain of his.
With Apple's stock fluctuating around $100 a share, the book that I imagine Tim Cook has needs to be pulled off the shelf because we can clearly tell that it's gathering dust.
