Vaporizers Then and Now - Have Vaporizers Improved
Vaporizers have been around for a long long time, longer than you may think. The history of vaporizing herbs can be traced back across civilizations for over 1000 years. The first recorded concept a vaporizing takes place in Egypt around 5th century BC when the ancient practice was first conducted. This is revealed to us in the book "The History of Herodotus" where hemp seeds are said to be thrown on red-hot stones creating a vapor. This may be considered the first mention of vaporizing in literature, but the first time a 'vaporizing device' was notably used occurred in Afghanistan over 1400 years ago with a hookah. Since this time the vaporizer has been greatly improved.
Let's fast forward to 1927 in the USA where the first patent was submitted for an electronic vaporizer. A man named Joseph Robinson filed a patent for the first 'butane ignition lighter'. It wasn't however until the year 1960 that we started to see what we now know as the modern day vaporizer. This is when the blueprints were created for the first e-cigarette that is still used as the designs for many vaporizers we see today. Other notable places that have added to the innovation of the vaporizer are Amsterdam, which brought the marijuana vaporizer to more of a mainstream stage, and BC Canada which advanced the vaporizer to potentially the first electrically charged version. Since this time we have seen huge growth in the industry and advancement in innovation and technology.
Portable vaporizers are the latest advancement in the vaporizing industry. Portable vaporizers have made it easier for medical marijuana users to stay active and take their medicine on the go. Medical marijuana users are the ones who have benefited the most with the advancement of technology in this industry. It was not too long ago that medical marijuana users had to stay at home if they wanted to use a vaporizer to take their medicine. Now, with the help of a portable vaporizer, users can be discreet and not intrude on the people around them. The vaporizers of today have improved greatly and are designed to last longer, optimize the amount of herb used, vaporize both dry-leaf and concentrated liquids, and be safe to use. Dry herb vaporizers are the most popular type of vaporizers used by medical marijuana users followed by oil and wax vaporizers.
