    the all new whatsapp

    The all new update of whatsapp is finally out for download and that too after months of beta testing, so we can normally expect numerous improvements within this version of the popular instant messaging application. While trying out this app I was excited to read the what's new section in the play store which confirmed my expectations of the usual bug fixes and improved user experience and custom notifications but was surprised to find a line in there which stated 'new emojis'. Obviously intrigued by this I opened up the 'updated' app and gave it a spin. what's Interesting? Whatsapp wishes to address the wide population using the service and hence included skin color tone choices to emojis like the face, hand , fist etc. Even more interesting is the fact that now in the emoji section there is the middle finger bundled in as well! Yup you read me right, just like windows 10 which recently bundled in this feature, whatsapp also likes to take it one step further with this integration. The usual improvements followed by custom notifications and the ability to cut down data consumption in case of calls just kicks it up a notch. What's missing? Google drive integration is missing, which would have definitely made the deal even sweeter. #whatsapp

    Taking a plunge through the new Windows

    Bigger and better than before is always welcome and this rule applies immediately to the world of technology. The errors and downfalls of previous generations are always corrected in their next and it always attracts both the gadget geeks as well as the common user and recently one such event was the release of the new Windows OS, better known as Windows 10. The windows insider program came to my notice rather late and the date of official release was just two weeks away and hence I could not jump into the Windows insider bandwagon. I had to find solace in checking out the early builds of the OS in my friend's PC and had to be content with what You-tube threw with regard to my queries. From what ever little I got to experience I was pretty impressed and vowed to get the update as soon it would hit the shelves. Registering with Microsoft's beta program helped me keep in touch with the developments and started re-kindling that same excitement I had 8 years back when I experienced the Windows for the first time in the form of WinXP. Now when I make preparations to bump up my PC to the latest version I feel the whole new Microsoft approach Mr. Satya Nadella was talking about finally seems to be clicking as the integration between the user and the OS seems to be the priority.
