    One of the recommended ways to promote your app is by having a landing page for the app on the web which helps in marketing the app as well as can be used for search engine optimization. Most app pages include links to the Apple App store and the Google play store. When your website has lots of content with different pages or if you have a product that has support for both a website and an app then there is a good chance that mobile user lands on a different page which may not have a link to your app or they might miss clicking the link. Some websites open a popup to show a popup for mobile users to install their app but if not implemented properly google may penalize your website. With iOS 6 Apple promoted the use of smart app banners to promote your app on safari by adding a meta tag. If you want to target other browsers you can use the Jquery based library or there is also another option which does not use jquery.
