Matt has been involved in tech journalism for over two decades. After launching his own technology blog, he made his way up the ranks at The Next Web, where he was Mobile Editor for over four years. He then joined The Verge as a UK editor, before finally setting at Engadget, where he spent over 10 years breaking news, writing features and eventually becoming UK Managing Editor. When he's not writing about tech, Matt is a Coastguard Officer, where he oversees rescues along the UK's coastline.
