Making a Living

Ah, money; it makes the world go 'round...and apparently that goes for virtual worlds, too, because you're not going to get very far in WoW unless you find a way to earn yourself some gold. You can buy gold, of course, but I
prefer to do things the hard way & actually play the game...

With my first couple of characters, I
mainly used my tradeskills to make money. Raw ore & leather sell for pretty well on the auction house, and I was able to get my mount by level 40 & keep myself stocked with supplies without too much effort. With my last few characters, however, I've gotten a bit burned out on tradeskills, so I've cultivated a few tricks to make easy cash without having to craft or farm.

For one, I run a little importing/exporting business; buying recipes from vendors in Booty Bay, Gadgetzan & other out-of-the-way areas & re-selling them at the auction house for a nice profit. I've made a good little chunk of gold doing this in just a few days, and it keeps me on the go & is a lot less boring than hitting the 'create all' button over & over. It seems there are almost as many ways to make a living in WoW as there are in real life; any good moneymaking tips you guys would like to share with the rest of us working stiffs?
