It works by tapping into the e-bike’s accelerometer and other sensors based on the rider’s weight, momentum and other factors – even wind. The new feature adjusts the motor’s power without the need for gears or tapping a boost button. But where's the new bike?

Cowboy's first e-bike solves the removable battery problem
Electric bicycles usually come in two flavors: either a gorgeous two-wheeler with a non-removable battery inside the frame, out of sight, or a design-be-damned mode of transportation that has the battery stuck to its frame like a hideous torpedo. Form or function? That's the decision most prospective e-bike buyers have to make. With the Cowboy, though, there's no compromise. The Brussels-based startup has managed to crack this age-old problem with a sleek but detachable battery that slides behind the seat post. It's a neat solution that immediately elevates the bike above most of its rivals.
'Red Dead Redemption 2' is coming on October 26th
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released October 26th. That gives you just under nine months to round up a posse for Rockstar Games' next adventure in the Dead West. The developer apologized for the delays -- last May it promised RDR 2 would be out this spring, and before that, it was scheduled for Fall 2017 -- saying that it's using the extra time to add some polish to the game. Rockstar didn't have much else to share, but teased that more information will be coming soon. Until then, enjoy the new screenshots below.
Rockstar is teasing a new 'Red Dead' game
The rumors of a new Red Dead game appear to be true. Over the weekend, developer Rockstar posted some less than subtle studio logos with the series' iconic red and black color scheme. Now, we have our first piece of art -- seven silhouetted individuals, walking forward with a bright sunset (or sunrise?) in the background. Has the studio been working on a prequel? A sequel? The group could be a reference to the gang John Marston rolled with before the events of Red Dead Redemption. Or maybe the Magnificent Seven, an iconic Western (inspired by Seven Samurai) recently remade with Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Vincent D'Onofrio, among others.
InnoGames' The West receives item balancing patch
InnoGames' free-to-play, browser-based, cowboy-centric MMO The West has been updated with a new patch, bringing with it some extensive item rebalancing as well as "more than 280 new items," which the devs hope will "allow for a more streamlined character progression." On top of that, the patch introduces "an improved social interface." The press release notes that the item revamps in this patch are "part of the preparation for the upcoming level cap raise and the third part of the [game's] recently introduced main story." The iPhone belt buckle holster is for the cowboy in you
What do you get for the cowboy who has everything? How about a huge brass iPhone belt buckle/holster? The $300 brass or aluminum cage sheaths an iPhone 4 or 4S and allows the wearer to choose how he displays his phone- either as a belt buckle or a pocket holster. Either way, should he ever be challenged to an iPhone duel, the top of the holster easily flips up for quick draw access to the iPhone. John Marston, lookout!
Mock the Medal of Honor box art and this man may kill you
It seems the cover star for EA reboot Medal of Honor bears quite a resemblance to a real-life military man -- and not the fictional lumberjack uncle we like to think resides in every Canadian family. Life did a feature on the armed forces in Afghanistan back in 2002, and one of the individuals (codenamed "Cowboy") highlighted in several photos (via UGO) seems to match the one highlighted on the FPS cover. EA did mention working closely with "Tier 1 Operators from the US Special Operations Community," so it seems possible that the main character could be inspired by (if not actually based on) Mr. Cowboy. We've contacted EA to get some intel on this. We'll let you know, if we haven't been taken out for yesterday's ZZ Top joke.
Last-minute App Store freebie: Wanted
In the long-established tradition of apps that make your pictures extra silly, Portego is offering its app Wanted free of charge through the end of February 5 (yes, that's today). Snap a photo of the nearest cowpoke (cheesy music is optional, but it does tend to attract a crowd of would-be bandits), accessorize with a selection of facial hair, weapons and other goodies, select the text you want and then save the "wanted poster" to your photos roll.Even though the 1.3 version notes in the App Store suggest that "ALL CRASHES are solved now," I did have the app lock up on me on my 2nd picture; however, if you get it for free today, what's to complain about? Starting tomorrow, Wanted will set you back $0.99.
Welcome to S-zzz-nake Gulch
Cryptic has revealed a third area within the Champions Online world and it's a pretty dang interestin' one ta boot. Snake Gulch wouldn't be any different from other water-deprived, western-theme amustment parks if it weren't for the fact that it's populated entirely by robots. Snake Gulch is full of robot cowboys, it's true.Oh and it's also right next to a maximum security supervillain prison, too. We're sure that has nothing to do with the fact that nobody lives in -- or near, so far as we can tell -- Snake Gulch, though. At least nobody but robots. (Just so we're clear: robots are people too) The preview is given entirely in the first person by Belle Steele and after listening to the audio clip provided by Cryptic we're pretty sure she's a robot, too. While you looking at the preview don't forget to check out the very cool concept art or you'll miss out on a sweet robot-horse.
One Shots: A Sarnak cowboy sunset
Okay, we know EverQuest II isn't a western cowboy-type MMO, but this particular screenshot put us in mind of old-school cowboy TV shows from the 50's. It was sent in to us by Firelore, who plays a L42 Warden. It features the swirling winds and blazing sun of the Sinking Sands zone.
