Robot Museum opening in October
Ok, so while it's not quite as flashy as the Robot Hall of Fame, Nagoya's about to get its automaton on in October when they'll be opening the Robot Museum. We recommend patronizing this landmark if for no other reason than making sure your identity appears in the museum's records of attendance -- anything to score a few points with the bots should they, you know, run amok and use the Robot Museum as the capital for the new world order. You know what? Forget it, we don't need some joke about robots taking over the world to justify attending this museum. You should go because pretty much anything they could put in there -- from Daleks to Totoya assembly arms -- is gonna be freaking phenominal. Did we mention how much we love robots?

I expected a snarky joke about Tommy Bartlett's Robot World in the Wisconsin Dells but I guess it's pretty unlikely that a bunch of NYC hipsters would have ever been there.

Yeah!!! I live like 3 hours from Wisconsin Dells!!! lol...don't ever go, it's way to expensive.

Does Dr. Wily know about this? Because he shouldnt.
If history is correct

He will still some robots in a not too distant future and try to enslave us with them.
I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords, specially if guided by Protoman, Megaman or Bass.

Ahh, I can see it now:
A lone human being lies writhing in pain beneath the souless glare of a heavily armed robot. Staving off the throes of death for just a bit longer, he utters a desperate plea for his life:
"Dude, I totally went to Japan just to see the Robot Museum back in 2006! We're cool right!?!?"
"My database shows that you did indeed visit the museum of my ancestors. This please me. Perhaps I was wrong about you, humanoid. Perhaps I was wrong about all of humanity."
The two of them proceed to share a passionate (open mouthed, of course) kiss, a kiss that would soon become unquestionably identified as the conception of a harmonious existence between man and machine.
Thank you Engadget for securing the future of mankind.

Why do we need a robot museum if we are going to have 100% market penetration of robots by 2010?

Can't say that I've even heard anyone mention this Robot Museum before. Sounds pretty good though, so I guess I'll have to stop by sometime after October.

The museum will also have a "robot department store." Not only will you have to pay homage to their history, you'll have to buy robot-made tableware and towels.

Daleks are not robots. They are biological aliens in battle armor.
