Bluetrek unveils twistable ST1 Bluetooth headphones
It looks like Bluetrek is hopping into the Bluetooth headphone game, and while it faces some stiff competition, the ST1 sports a design entirely more pleasing to the eye than Etymotic's ety8 or Koss' Cobalt. Expected to make a showing at CES, these Korean-bound headphones feature a slim, bendable frame made to fit the heads of runners / commuters without gangly adornments cramping your style. It also boasts a trendy black / snow white color motif, Bluetooth v1.2 support, USB connectivity, operates "about nine hours" before its Li-ion needs recharging, and can supposedly last 400 hours in standby mode. Additionally, the play / pause, track direction, and volume controls are handily included on the earpieces, so you can control your playlists (on supported devices) without ever looking down. While we're not sure how much Bluetrek plans on charging for these snazzy wraparounds, we'll hopefully be getting a listen of our own before too long.

Now if only Jobs wouldn't be such a PITA about putting BT in the iPod. Gah!
This looks perfect for me. I want a A2DP headset that I can put in my laptop bag and not worry about getting crushed. This looks to be the answer unless someone else knows a better way.
those are ugly. I don get why thier so cumbersome ill buy bluetooth earbuds when their like ipod headphones with the wire cut off.
Don't worry, you won't have to wait long. They'll start selling those once they figure out how to put microfusion reactors into each earbud.
I would figure that wireless headset would actually be smaller than wired ones. :X
Why? The batteries have to go somewhere. Ditto with the BT/wireless radio.
Guess you'll have to travel to South Korea to listen as you mention they're "Korea-bound" i.e. going to Korea.....Or did you mean Korea-originating ?
I work for a Verizon retailer who has just asked me to evaluate a set of these.
So far, their functionality for phone calls has been on par with every other BlueTrek appliance I've tested - lackluster - which is what I expected; however, I've been terribly disappointed with their use with media.
Basically, when trying to open music by using the ST1's play button, the headset sends the phone into a player deathloop, opening, closing, then re-opening the player with no recourse but to remove the phone's battery. And, when the music is opened by using the phone's interface, the ST1 has not picked up the music, leaving it to be played by the phone's onboard speakers.
I wouldn't recommend these or spend my own money on them (or any BlueTrek appliance).
(phone used in tests thus far is a LG VX8300, other models will be tested today.)
There's an Amazon review of these headphones that's the exact opposite of yours, and they used an LG VX8300, too. The Amazon review says the sound is very good.
