Humongous Xbox 360 doubles as a cabinet
Hot on the heels of the enormous Wiimote cabinet comes an absolutely gigantic Xbox 360 that truly has to be seen to be appreciated. Thankfully, there's a video of the thing waiting in the read link, but this beastly player opens up to reveal the perfect storage area for periodicals and pamphlets that are sure to collect dust and rarely ever be touched by human hands again. Additionally, a light was added behind the power button (no, it's not red) for good measure, but last we heard, the original Xbox controller (aka Duke) was no longer on speaking terms with its biological cousin (pictured).[Thanks, J]

That's almost as big as the original XBox. Ha, ha.
rzlmlchm009 @ Dec 5th 2007 5:47PM
Hey! These XBOX 360's are ginormous!
Neebs @ Dec 5th 2007 4:16PM
If it wobbles you can always do the penny trick.
Homeboy @ Dec 5th 2007 4:22PM

Homeboy @ Dec 5th 2007 4:25PM
PS: Now I'm waiting for someone to create a PS3 fridge for breaded meat ready for grilling.
Neebs @ Dec 5th 2007 4:36PM
If you get both people will make a website about it.
mlody11 @ Dec 5th 2007 4:28PM
Does it give you the Red Ring of Death when you overload it with crap?
Andir3.0 @ Dec 5th 2007 6:43PM
I hear it makes a lot of noise, has a power brick the size of the couch and costs a lot more than a regular cabinet would if you need to add more space.
blade417 @ Dec 5th 2007 4:30PM
will this play media from my computer?
Alex Padilla @ Dec 5th 2007 4:38PM
What you *meant* to say was:
"Will this play Doom?"
mlody11 @ Dec 5th 2007 4:44PM
No no no. He meant to say, "Does it Blend?"
daliminator2000 @ Dec 5th 2007 5:17PM
Absolutely incorrect. What he meant to say was, "will this play media from my computer?"
thethirdmoose @ Dec 5th 2007 5:43PM
No, what he meant to say is, "Can it play doom while playing media from my computer and blending at the same time?"
Scott @ Dec 5th 2007 7:24PM
"Can it play doom while playing media from my computer and blending at the same time?"
because if it does, I, for one, will welcome our Game-furniture wielding overlords.
blade417 @ Dec 6th 2007 8:28AM
you've all got it wrong, what I meant was "will it play media from my computer"
At this point i'm just a little tired of doom, blenders, and overlords.
My 360 for some reason will not connect to my computer to play media. I've given up. I've tried everything. I think I just need a new router.
CubeGuy @ Dec 5th 2007 5:30PM
Next week: The power brick couch.
Chris @ Dec 5th 2007 9:18PM
The difference is that the power brick couch is on a 1:1 scale.
rzlmlchm009 @ Dec 5th 2007 5:46PM
Cabinet? No my friends, this is a space heater! ;)
will @ Dec 5th 2007 6:27PM
Does it get an update twice a year?
Don't open it or you'll void the warranty!
AlexP @ Dec 5th 2007 7:03PM
They used the wrong Xbox.
Jhongerkong @ Dec 5th 2007 7:29PM
No they didnt, the original Xbox is being used as the coffee table.
Phips @ Dec 5th 2007 10:34PM
I wonder if it has the dreaded 3 red lights as well!
Tiny Elvis @ Dec 6th 2007 12:38PM
Hey man, you guys see that Xbox 360? That thing is HUUUGGGE!
HektikLyfe @ Dec 6th 2007 12:40PM
I usually hate it when people claim it is old news just because it came out on some other obscure website 15 minutes earlier...but...
This was all over the internets a year or two ago. I'm surprised it didn't show up here on engadget.
A PS3 cabinet would have to be built in a hangar.

Respect for the power brick jokes though, those were funny. XD
HektikLyfe @ Dec 6th 2007 12:41PM
Disclaimer: I know that is a mock-up PS3.
DarkAardvark @ Dec 6th 2007 2:49PM
taking the realism one step further....
why not make it a radiator?
