Benjamin Heckendorn) has officially taken it to the limit, put the pedal to the metal, and a large number of other cliches that suggest
something has been pushed just about as far as you can take it. That's right folks -- it's the Xbox 360 Elite
laptop. We're not even going to try and pretend to understand how an individual could go about creating this kind of extreme mod to the Microsoft console -- needless to say that if there was one man who could
do it, Ben is that guy. Luckily for us lay-people, he's included a graphic breakdown of just about every step on the road to a portable Xbox 360, replete will all the case cracking, innards opening, wire splaying photos you could possibly want or need. Sorry

actually i was more interested in what other than gaming can i use it for.. i know i can install linux maybe; but does it kind of support it seamlessly?
I mean its a cool collector's item but for an average user what's the point if it?
the 360 will refuse to run anything but the 360 OS and approved software. Don't buy it.

Many of you miss the point here: it is a hobby! This guy obviously enjoys it and is good at it and that is what matters. It also happens to be a hobby that this guy learns and uses some pretty impressive skills that can be applied to other "useful" applications. The only thing your judgment-of-irrelevancy means is that you should have simply skipped the story and moved on to something that interests you.

That is the coolest mod I have seen! I want one. It would be awsome if you could use it as a normal laptop as well but there comes a point when you asking for too much. I really think there would be a market for this product. To have the ease of portability would be awsome. I would buy one! Microsoft needs to buy this dude out and mass produce these things. Maybey they could partner with Dell to successfully combine a laptop / xbox360 into one unit. If you could hook it up to your TV and be able to take it with you then you have really got something.
Thats all he does now, isn't it? Just bashes the Wii and makes 360 laptops. I liked it when he did new stuff, but I am getting a bit sick of seing this thing OVER AND OVER again. We get it, you made another one. Big deal.

M$ should hire this guy or buy his patent and then make a gaming laptop with a combination of some ergo keyboard like d 1 he has and gain more market shares in gaming pc. more M$.....
Heh, can you imagine? Him working for Microsoft? Possibly working with Nvidia (Who made the first Xbox) to make it a reliable system, then have a 360 integrated with a fully functional PC? It'd be amazing. Play 360 with all the "premium" features, then flip a switch and start using your laptop, complete with Wireless and Webcam.

ummm?is there a HDMI output? and why do you need a keyboard?
It's using the HDMI output for the Display, and as said in the video, the Keyboard is for any kind of text input. IMing, Messages, Naming Classes/Screenshots... Anything that uses text, instead of the dashboard keyboard that pops up.

What do you mean "why do you need a keyboard" you do realize that MSN messenger is integrated into the dashboard. Also text chat accros Live. I even ust my chatpad in COD4 when naming my classes.

Imagine a Console Laptop that used Downloadable content (nearly) entirely? I'd download the games to the SSD, and use it as a truely mobile console. (You don't want to move a console with a disc in it, and it'd be nice to not carry around a DVD Cases)

It's cool that ben new Xbow 360 laptop is finshed. But due to some many people going to site. It has made his hame page go down. And his forum almost go compleaty down.
