This is not a dig on either, but simple facts. I sell cellular phones, and anyone that wants to say that a windows mobile is more stable (excluding defective devices) is delusional. (Anyone that rips into this is just one that is what they call a fanboy, works for a win-mob company or just likes to try to start arguments, I wont reply to that so dont wast your time) Windows positive...far more flex for applications for sure. But the hang syndrom does not happen with Blackberry plain and simple. I have had a blackberry supplied to me (from inventory random) for 3 years now, and I have had several (Because I can) and I have frozen one device once. For the user of email on the go, there is no comparison, Blackberry 100%. But for those that need application flexibility you probably needs windows, but need to live with the device freezing i would hazard a guess once a week minimum with a simple remove battery and reinsert at worst to be back up and running. I odnt get paid more for a RIM or a PPC, it makes no difference to me, but I can tell you i DOA RMA 10-1 ratio, Windows devices compared to RIM devices. Blackberry seems to have quality control down a little more pat than a lot of the PPC manufacturers (Excluding the Pearl, they seem to be on Par with the rest of the devices) (This is half meant to be a shovanistic digg but with a little levity) The person who complained about the wife having far more issues than the husband...Well duh! You = Man wont complain just fix it move on. Her = Woman complain make you fix it and she moves on. :)
@Chris...Man dont even think twice about the purchase!! Down twice in a year for a few hours. Big deal. The amount of time peoples windows devices are in the pouch frozen and dont even realize it for 2 hours is far more excessive than RIM's down time. I didnt even know they were down, it doesnt affect phone functionality. When a Windows device that freezes, phone doesnt work either.
"I'm looking to grab a new phone using a prepaid service. What's the best prepaid phone service in terms of overall price, phone selection and other bells / whistles. Thanks!"
