Samsung's 12.1-inch OLED laptop concept makes us swoon
As much as we would loath typing on that touch-sensitive, rigid keyboard, we're definitely geek-smitten by this ultra-thin, AMOLED laptop concept from Samsung SDI -- Sammy's display division. 12.1-inches and 1,280 x 768 resolution with infinite contrast? We'll take two... just as soon as someone can explain the extra panel around back. With Samsung projecting 14- to 15.4-inch OLED laptops in 2009, this might come sooner than you think.

For those who are actually excited at the prospect of a large and flat touchscreen keyboard...Have you ever tried to type efficiently on a perfectly smooth piece of glass?
Good luck hunting and pecking.
This looks like a mockup to me. I don't see how a working laptop could be that thin.
I know why there are no keys on that keyboard, and are only touch-sensitive zones of a panel.
Because that way, your drool won't fall between the keys! 8)
Uhm, where is the trackpad/nipple?
Enough with the concepts... I propose a RSS feed minus the Concept posts.
Funny! I looked at the keyboard of this concept and then down onto a MacBook Pro Keyboard, then again on the screen and it looks very similar.
Just note the arrow keys, the smaller F-Keyline and then the line in the bottom. Which PC-Keyboard has 4 keys on the left and 2 on the right of the spacebar? The Mac actually has.
I'm still wondering why this thought jumped at me that fast, I'm not looking at my keyboard when I'm typing...
Why does Samsung seem to have this obsession over flat keypads? A lot of their new phones like the Blast, Beat, and Sync all have an incredibly flat keypad. Now, Samsung decides to come up with a laptop with a flat keyboard? This doesn't seem to make any sense at all for a laptop. Cost-wise, it is very economical to integrate all the buttons on a keypad into a single flat sheet, but many consumers won't like it.

I don't wanna know how much it would cost..
