I'm from New Orleans and any type of event like this is good for the city. I was not able to attend so thanks for the coverage E!

Until there is cable/IPTV competition in my city, I will continue to boycott the cable industry. It's nice to complain about how Comcast and Charter suck, but it's even better to know that, come monthly bill time, you're not sending them a penny.

Is someone preventing competition in your city? Doesn't seem like a boycott makes sense if the answer to that is simply "no". It's not the cable company's responsibility to provide for local competition.

Doesn't look like there was that many people there.

They would have better attendance if they used booth babes ala E3...

Ok, i have a problem; My cable provider has let this go on for years, but now its really starting to get to me. You see, my cable loses signal at any random moment. This also happens across town with my friends, but I am on a hell of a lot more than them.
I've complained, and all they did was send a guy (each time different, which irked me) to check, say my levels were great, put in a 2cent splitter and was on his way.
When, in the next county, thier cable is nearly flawless and is in fact MUCH FASTER! (provided, its under a different name too)

Are you guys going to the SCTE (Society of Cable Television Engineers) show as well? It is much more interesting, from a gadget standpoint at least.
The cable show is more for the suits.
