Fujitsu Siemens' Amilo 3000 laptops match your Stormtrooper suit
Don't just sit there clone, Fujitsu-Siemens just announced it's new Amilo 3000 series. The 16- and 18.4-inch widescreen (16:9) Laptops include options for Wireless USB, spill-proof keyboards, Blu-ray, and NVIDIA or ATI Hybrid Graphics for on-the-fly switching between discrete and UMA graphics when you need extra 3D power or extra battery life. They've also tossed in a palm-sized AMILO Graphic Booster; an external graphics adapter like ASUS' ASUS ROG XG Station which Fujitsu Siemens claims provides your laptop up to 470% more GPU power. Matching accessories too, tough guy, all pictured in the gallery below.

Thanks for the laugh.

Seems to me, stormtroopers should have tubes for waste removal. This way they can #1 or #2 without stopping their oppression of those pesky rebels.

Pretty cool looking laptops.
JS @ May 29th 2008 9:14AM
So... this is a craptop computer?
kal326 @ May 29th 2008 9:19AM
So thats the real reason it took so long to build the deathstar, too many storm troopers on the crapper looking at porn.
Michael @ May 29th 2008 9:24AM
That's the problem with clones, they're all guys. Throws the ratio at the clubs way off. Major sausage fest. I vote no clone soldiers.
Ian @ May 29th 2008 2:57PM
either that or make clone women too, but i cant imagine going to that club. imagine trying to find your blind date!
David @ May 29th 2008 9:23AM

Pretty crappy photoshopping on the chest plate. Clone brush FTW.
Colin Potter @ May 29th 2008 9:51AM
not to mention the fact that the laptop is at a super awkward angle for use
Darkroom @ May 29th 2008 10:55AM
not to mention that it's a fucking joke... christ, some people...

"Stormtrooper or Mr. Orange Beanie?"...ASUS and MSI marketing teams planning for next ad campaign
hopenglish @ May 29th 2008 9:46AM
Our Stormtrooper buddy needs to shine up his gear if he hopes to match up with the ethereal glare of that machine...
So without any information re: the processor or pricing... What am I supposed to say?
There are so many questions to be had about that picture, sans the laptop.
Richard Lai @ May 29th 2008 9:58AM
I would have thought the helmet has a built-in computer anyway.
Mike @ May 29th 2008 10:14AM
An 18.4" screen is a huge screen for a laptop, isn't it?
Honestly I'd rather have a 12" with a midrange graphics card that can pump out the 12's highest res with good fps in TF2 :)
RichardBronosky @ May 29th 2008 11:56AM
That's a little silly don't you think. A 18.4" laptop is obviously marketed for a different consumer than a 12". You might as well go commenting on all the desktop computers saying, 'gee, if only the would have made this a 12" laptop I would buy it. What were they thinking?'
Mike @ May 29th 2008 1:06PM
What I was trying to convey is that I see little use for a gaming-centered 18.4" widescreen laptop in today's market, besides the person who is too lazy to drag their tower and monitor to a lan party.
I was also trying to convey that a smaller screen with a less-demanding-than-high-end graphics solution might make for a better mix for someone interested in a portable gaming solution, with maybe an hdmi out on the back of it with an adapter to make it dvi and audio out.
My main point is that going with a bigger screen and marketing it as a portable gaming laptop isn't the best solution if they want alot of people to buy it, especially since they'll make it cost 3000$ due to the screen size (damn you, marketing department!). They'll get 200 sold to enthusiasts and discontinue the overly-large line in 2 years.
I don't know about you, but I don't think I'll see anyone buying overpriced gaming laptops with gimmicky-feeling addon cards to improve performance by 500% any time soon, with the US in a recession. But alas, I speak from my experiences in western PA, so maybe you can afford it.

nice pic! thanks for the laugh and for keeping the humor going!
nice look to the lappy, probably fingerprints less than a macbook.

...and here's the perfect chair to decorate your stormtrooper flat (fourth from the top): http://www.laisr.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=50:chair&catid=37:projects&Itemid=37
Stranger @ May 29th 2008 1:19PM
Incredibly slick design even if it looks a bit chubby. But it shouldn't be a major concern for a laptop that size since it would rarely leave the home behind.
Dr. Evil @ May 29th 2008 3:05PM
Thank goodness the rebel base was not on Uranus.
Californian @ May 29th 2008 4:18PM
Yipee now I have a laptop to match my daily suit. Stormtroopers FTW! We should build a new death star lol.
