I'm of two minds about the 1000 - on the one hand, I'm old enough that I have to wear reading glasses when I use my 701 (like I am right now), and I've been touch-typing most of my life so the Chicklets-sized keys are a pain to use. On the other hand, one of the big appeals of the 701 is that it's so small and light I can carry it around my house and use it anywhere, and drop it in my bag and carry it anywhere w/out it weighing me down - NOT something I can say about my Macbook Pro! I think I'd have to physically handle a 1000 before I could decide if it'd be worth it to me, or if a 901 would be the right blend of size, weight and features (going to give my 701 to my truck-driving kid brother who doesn't have a PC he can use on the road).
OTOH, the 1000H - running Windows XP? WTF would I want to eliminate most of the advantages of the EEE PC line - low power consumption, solid-state durability, and snappy data and apps access? Oh, and Linux's free price tag, inherently solid security and lack of bloat over any M$ OS.... >:)
There's more to PC games than computer towers and input devices... Enter the CM Storm Sirus, the outfit's first foray into the world of gaming headsets.
