I've still only known 1 person that owned a Zune.
He works for Microsoft.
He hated the Zune and has a... different player now.
Trolls don't you love them?
Aren't these the same people that go ape shite when someone appears on an Apple thread to say something negative?

Well, because I live in America, and I have the right to comment and have an opinion on whatever I damn well please.
Personally i have a SanDisk player so don't try and call me out, ass munch.
You don't have a SanDisk... you have an iPod. Don't change the facts to try and convince us that you are not a Apple fanboy.
For next time:
- Please elaborate why your friend or you don't like the Zune. What are the thing that is being seen are negative by the user? Be detailed.
A detail comparison with a competing product is also always nice, but ensure that you this is not the main point of the comment.
Doing such, will ensure that everyone will understand why a certain product is so good or bad, and makes you happy are people value your views, and makes everyone else that read your comment happy, even thus they might disagree with you, as we all know what is being talked about.
Oh yeah? Well I've got a friend that has a Zune and he absolutely loves it. So there. :P
as soon as someone has a different opinion than them they call them trolls, how sad :)

Since most of here too live in America (and I served in the military to defend my freedoms), we have the right to call you out and inflict our opinion on you. There is something called etiquette. No, there's no law mandating it. It's just common courtesy. Since most of the people clicking on a Microsoft Zune article would probably be current users of the product...we've got no tolerance for people criticizing our life choices. Although, as Good_Bytes pointed out, if you bring something to the table in a thought provoking and non-confrontational manner...we'll be happy to hear you out.

I'd rather buy a Zen
I loved my zen v plus. t was small easy to use and very cheap. I got rid of it because the only size that was out at the time was 4Gb and that wasn't big enough for me. This looks like a goos step forward for the zune series but I just am not sure if this size of player will benefit from all of the new firmware updates.

Engadget, what did we tell you? NO BLURRYCAM. Although, on topic, I really can't grasp the concept of how hard it is to stand still and take a decent photo.
They're called stupid people. I've been able to take many pictures with my cell phone and they come out clear. These people shouldn't have a camera phone if they're going to get crappy pics.

Also, engadget dropped the ball on the new zune coverage. Gizmodo reported that there's all sorts of cool shit dropping with the new players, including a wireless music store etc.
Of course it's only a zune so the internet doesn't care. Steve jobs had a piece of corn in his crap earlier today, lets make sure there's four posts covering it!

dude, weak, Engadget have in all fairness, been doing a tip-top job with zune, apple and other news, all coming thick, fast and for the most part unbaised. I've read a whole lot of negativity and sarcasm from the gizmodo staff towards the zune, more so then on here, so lay off :)

I've been to two Wal-Marts here in Columbus, OH and have seen both the blue Zune and the Zune 120. From the picture on the front of the box on the 120 it appears to have a much larger screen compared to the Zune 80 sitting beside it. I tried to take a picture but they just kept coming out blurry and I was finally approached by a sales associate asking me what I was doing, so I stopped trying. If anyone lives in Columbus the store on Morse Rd. and the Whitehall store both have them in stock.

The Zune is a really good media player, ever since the 2.0's came out... the 30 gbs werent very good but I know a bunch of people that own them and love them. I used to work at Target and I could convince people to buy the Zune over the classic iPod anyday. Im not an Apple hater or anything, as I think their Iphone's / ipod touches are amazing devices, but when it comes to nano / classic iPods vs the 2.0 Zunes, I really think you are better off spending your money on the Zune.. And for people who use or are considering buying a Zen, you all kind of remind me of non-conformist opera users who hate republicans and firearns...
Im really excited about this new color and think it will sell well, although black will still always be the most popular color.
This isn't specifically directed at you, because you clearly understand the difference between a Zune and an iPod Touch, but why do so many people say that Microsoft is wasting their time competing with iPod Classic?
The iPod Touch is a really awesome PDA, but if you want a music player in your pocket you're much better off with some physical controls that can be operated without looking at the thing. This was something that the click wheel iPods excelled at, and the iPod Touch just does not deliver on that front at all. It's an awesome do-it-all device, but it makes for a relatively crappy music player if that's all you're really looking for.

I'm going to have to agree with you up to a point. The Touch is a good PDA, but after months of using it, I decided to go with an Asus PDA so that I could actually edit Office documents and sync with Outlook more easily (my iPod had issues often and wouldn't sync e-mails and calendar appointments without being reconnected). Maybe if Apple fixes those issues, I'll go back to using them, but this seems to be the way to go for me.
And yes, it is a terrible music player if that's all you want.

The photo is appropriate for the product. After all, the Zune is nothing more than a blurred "me too" product shadow of the iPod.
I an Apple fanboy but I have to admit that the blue Zune is pretty sexy looking.
I really like the Zune, but the only thing that's keeping me from switching (currently on a b&w 4th gen 20gb iPod) is the lack of bluetooth support. iPod doesn't have it either, but at least there are docking port add-ons that don't require their own battery. I have never seen a similar device for the Zune. A digital music player is pretty worthless to me if it doesn't work with my headphones.
I see Microsoft continues with the big black casing surround technique to make the screen look bigger than it really is. BRILLIANT!

Honestly, I thing the brown one was the best color.
Indeed, same features and half the price of the others 30GBs. I got one off Amazon when they were going for $99.99. Too bad it got left in a rental car never to be seen again, but I have a Black 80GB now.

Any word on battery life? I would love to see the Zune 120 go at least 40 hours with wifi turned off. But damn that blue looks good to. The Zune 3.0 feature list looks damn good to. It will be interesting to what Apple pulls out of the hat tomorrow.
