New Nintendo DS purportedly confirmed for tomorrow

You know how it goes -- first comes the far-out rumor, then comes something a touch more believable, and then the company itself issues an all-too-familiar non-denial denial. According to MCV sources, the next step in the process will happen tomorrow, as a revamped DS storms into action at 5:00AM GMT on the 2nd of October. As for specifics, we'll have to wait for Iwata's supposed announcement to find out more, but we'd be utterly shocked to see this ship after Christmas. That is, if this isn't just some elaborate scheme from the Big N to distract us all from realizing that Wiis will still be impossible to find this holiday season two full years after launch.

Add wifi & a camera for video conferencing plus the games & I'm sold (like a Mylo that actually works right + plays games). Not a gamer but know Nintento's great about the "casual" user so it's more interesting than other options on the table.

Compared to the wii its honestly no where near as bad.....

I like most of the games made for the DS done by bigger name companies, (exluding a lot of the kiddy or cheaply made games of course).

As for the wii only about 2 games make my list and their first party titles by the big N. The rest just a bug ehhh for having to use the crap remote...

I hope the screen (or screens) will be better. I am all about innovation but as time passes, what I hope wouldn't happen--happened. I am becoming a graphics whore. I play my PS3 or 360 on a 42" HDTV, then hitting the Wii it's like ooo.. yikes. How's your non-HD?

I'm pretty annoyed at low Wii graphics too - I have 37" LCD.

If you keep distance from TV, then it's more or less OK. But in gaming rage (e.g. WiiSports or Zelda) I often come closer to the screen and start seeing the huge pixels... Kind'a appalling.
