oh! Looks beautiful!
oh NO! ..... I hate the EEE logo....
I hate the logo too. I want the computer, but the logo looks like a gay fart. Eee!
Now even farts have to be gay or straight?
Yeah, I've always hated it too, and it's what is keeping me from getting one. If they don't want to get rid of it, they could at least change the freakin' font to make it look better :[
Sweet, I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of this, hopefully it can sneak in at $499 in the US, will definitely pre-order though when I see it on ZZF.com
Anything more on the crunchpad, I refuse to buy another laptop until I can buy one of those
B&H (bhphotovideo.com) is now taking pre-orders for the Eee PC 1008HA (in "Pearl Blue" and "Pearl Black) for $429.95. No idea when they'll actually ship, but you can sign up to be notified when they are in stock.
Interesting.
interesting
Arousing.
Why can't it have 1280x800 or 1366x768 resolution?? It would be perfect!
And the wait for the T91/T101H continues.
Agreed. Can't wait to run Bumptop on the T91. The convertible netbook is the perfect form factor for Bumptop as well.

Looks so nice but screen res is a downer. Personally, Im waiting for netbooks with Ion.
Yeah, I need a new system now.. but you say there _might_ be a better CPU out in "couple of years." No shit.
Stop spamming us your useless web site you tool.
Can't the comment system hide replies to spam than gets removed? Now I look like I'm talking to my self :(
you are
"It's best to wait a couple of years."
buffoon
blue is such a no-no. and yes the eee logo is tragic. asus make solid gear but, like sony, drop the ball on rather obvious details time and time again.
Bought my pretty HP Mini 1000 for £299 and it's also shaped like a clam. I can impossibly see what makes this one worth £100 more.
The fact that this looks better, doesn't have mouse buttons on the side of the trackpad and ASUS is known for their quality.
i know a lot of people will hate me and low-rank my comment if i dare to mention macbook air, but that just proves people do know what it actually is deep in their heart.
i just can't believe that there's only one design called "beautiful". best example is the car industry, bmw, merc, audi they all look different but generally speaking all good-looking cars. why can't it be the case with the it industry? i thought dell's adamo sets a pretty good example of innovation.
please pc manufacturers, prove to the world that you can also be nice-looking WITHOUT copying the mac design!
The Dell Adamo has a huge butt, but some people like that.
You'd have a point if every good looking PC copied the Apple 'look', but given the sheer number of netbooks Asus makes, there's plenty that don't. Their new tablets look sharp, and look nothing like Apple offerings.
It looks like a Macbook and the Macbook Air. Not too surprising since Apple is the leader in industrial design.
It sure is aint it, iKurt?
looks an awful lot like the macbook air from here.....
Yeah! This is one hell of a netbook!!
Its exactly a copy of the Air as far as looks are concerned. AND IT LOOKS AWESOME !
I would have got this only if it would have been released a bit earlier... My Acer aspire one is not bad though !
.
She sell SeaShell by the......CeBIT?
so besides the slimmer size, what's different between this and the 1000he model?
so does this finally use the GN40 chipset that the 1000HE should have come with?
