Viewsonic's entry-level VNB100 netbook shown on video
Viewsonic wasn't playing around with its latest outlay of wares, and while the intriguing Atom-powered VNB100 is dangerously similar in name to the VNB101, there's actually a good bit of difference between the two. Across the way, the good guys and gals over at NetbookNews have managed to score some hands-on time with the former, and while it's labeled the outfit's budget model, it still packs an ExpressCard slot, a built-in 3G modem and a red paint job that's sure to catch a few eyeballs. Hop on past the break for a video showcase, but don't expect to hear a North American price or release date.

the colors!
Wait, thats not red.
thats a big boob nicole. :)
Seems like the tech industry is starting to form quite the netbook bubble. Let's hope it doesn't end up like the last bubble that engulfed the housing/lending industry!
It isn't a bubble when people are actually buying them, sales of netbooks are expected to double this year and that's a conservative estimate. They are of course stealing many of these sales from laptops.
i'm getting sick of the atom. how about a ULV C2D?
She can give me a handy
the boredom!
OHMYGAWD, the friggin mouse buttons match the rest of the friggin thing, isn't that just friggin amazing.
it does look quite nice for a netbook, though. Expresscard is always nice to have. Although, I hope it will be available with a real 6-cell battery, and the funky layout might take a little getting used to.
geez, why do u post about these things? they are all the same. Atom, 1 gig RAM, 160 gb hd blah blah blah. is the computer industry totally at a loss for new ideas?
I don't mind hearing about them if there is anything different or particularly interesting about one, but I agree for the most part. I guess it is Sunday though, so nothing to post about apparently.
I did the yellow one though.
Is that colour salmon ? ick!
No, it's actually hot pink, but the light was a bit off so it looks a bit odd in the video...
the colors look dazzling. i hope the plasticky feel won't make this netbook cheapskate.
i hope that they'd make a 6cell battery as a standard SKU.
Not enough LED status lights.
What do you mean it's not coming to N.A.? We need more Netbook choices desperately [not!].
