Asus Eee PC T101MT revealed by the FCC
Asus' Eee PC T101 convertible tablet has been floating around in one form or another for quite a while now, but it looks like it's now finally cleared the FCC as the Eee PC T101MT, which seems to suggest that it might just be getting official at CES next month. While details on this particular model are pretty light, the FCC filing does confirm that it packs 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and the "MT" in the model name likely indicates that this one's a multitouch tablet -- the Eee PC T101 that we've seen previously was a 10-inch tablet with the usual unremarkable netbook specs, but an upgrade to Pine Trail seems a safe bet for this model.

Make something similar to the Archos 9 but with the following:
Atom N450, Ion, 2 Gb ram, Windows 7 Home Premium, sleek black with little to no bezel and you've got a million + sales. make it so
@fatslug
I agree... I'm waiting to pull the trigger on a netbook if this actually turns out to be good.. I don't mind the presence of ION if they stick Broadcom's HD accelerator in there. I have my MBP for gaming, but i would love some 1080p on the go... Besides, ION is a battery raper...
@fatslug you do realize this is just a netbook on a swivel hinge. Its not just a thin tablet
@fatslug
Totaly, I was hoping for the Archos 9, but its specs just sucked. Im looking at either buying a HP TX2z, or buying a dell mini and hacking it with a touchscreen after I get the money from the holiday.
We're going to see just as many "x pushes out a new netbook with identical specifications as all the others" articles as we saw last year because of Pine Trail. This will never, ever, ever end.
How will they fit the whole Taiwan in that little space there?
Racist people at the FCC think they are very tiny people?
Yes!! I wanted something bigger than the T91MT!
My m750 is a bit to heavy. Im not being picky, but i would like a lighter alternative
It comes with BT and WLAN and taiwan it seems.
Great, how Asus keeps teaching me patience and thus saves me money.
When I wanted a T91, they delayed it so long I decided I to wait a bit more, because the T91MT would almost be available. Now that -- also delayed -- T91MT is about to materialize, they ruin my appetite for it with promises of a near EEE Pad and this T101MT.
I wonder what they'll come up with next.
@Pinkelman
You are me !
Seriously, I put off the buying the T91mt cos of reviews menitoning its poor processor, but I think the T101MT might be fast enough for most usage. We'll just have to see what puts me off that now :-/
@journalismnazi price being 30% more then the T91MT??
i'll wait for the 101MT till 1st march when i go back to uni, if not out by then i may go the T91MT or hopefully acer or HP may have something in the pipeline
Will this one finally ship with their version of linux, or are they going to continue to be b*tches about it?
I'd kill for an active digitizer on this baby!
