Pedobear Seal Of Approval!
@Pedobear
uhm im not sure if i want the phone now
@Pedobear
I wonder how this will compare to the HTC EVO? I know the specs, but is this really Verizon's answer, or is it not as beefy?
That internal storage sure sounds nice, though. Can anyone remind me how much internal storage the EVO has?
@r34p3r How it compares to the Evo?... Verizon>> Sprint. and I'm a sprint user.. but the reception is not as good... and i'm in ny
@pedmart Piggybacking on Pedobear posts are like touching everyone one he's ever touched.
So have a seat over there...
@r34p3r the EVO has a whopping 1GB of internal memory!
@p0p0
this is true
@WillSmith
You got it twisted. Evo has 1GB of ROM no Internal storage. Incredible has 512MB of ROM and 8GB of internal storage.
@r34p3r
i think the EVO's thing is the screen size (like 4.3" or something) and the WiMax.
@SoCoolCurt
As well as video calling and 720p video recording, although the incredible might have the hd recording it doesn't say so in these specs. The only thing better here is the internal storage, which i'll gladly trade for the better screen, battery, wimax etc. etc.
@Pedobear is it worth waiting for a bigger screen i really really want the evo because that screen is massive and sexy and MD has 4g, but with that internal storage i might be willing to switch to verizon
You all missed the point!!! They just confirmed Engadgetland!!!!!
Any chance of announcing availability, Vlad?
@pedmart
I'm a Sprint user, and it differs here where I live.
My sprint phone receives 6 full bars where I live, whereas my friend's Verizon service only gets 3 bars. My call quality is crystal clear, and I haven't had a dropped call in 3 years.
You can't say that until you have experienced every single angle there is to Verizon. Yes, they have a strong network, but there are still blank spots. Overall I am happy with what Sprint offers me. Obviously I would have to be, to be with them for nearly 4 years....
@pedmart dont forget the HDMI out and front camera everyone brings up but no one will really use. I want the evolution BTW but these things are useless
@Pedobear evo * fuck my phones autocorrect
@staticjethro this is my question as I was thinking last night. Why even have the internal 8 gb? It would be great if you could still have a 32 gb SD card but from this article you can't. Correct me if I am wrong but how do you buy 24 gb SD cards? That would mean the top memory would be 16gb + 8gb internal.
@angermeans
Unless you're being sarcastic, 16 (sd card)+8 (internal) =24. that's the max you can have according to those specs
@Pedobear
EVO completely obliterates this phone and so does the Galaxy S. Verizon is a little late to the party... or should I say early?
@r34p3r
Way to cannibalize the nexus one sales. Its a win-win for HTC but I am not sure if Google will be happy with this.
Who would by a nexus one vs Incredible both on Verizon when you have this with 8 M camera with most of the phone being identical. Unless you explicitly hate sense UI.
@Eternity
So you're saying there's a better phone that comes out after this one? No way!
When is there ever NOT a "better" phone on the horizon? Electronics almost always get better / cheaper if you wait, but I've got to get a new phone some time and I'm excited about this one...so, Incredible it is!
@Pedobear I'm going to gamble on you liking that 8MP camera, right?
@sycamore714 With the hype the Nexus One's been getting, it seems whenever it comes to VZW, it's gonna cost 300 dollars.
@Pedobear Wait, it says it’s both a Google Experience device (and allows Google OTA updates) and has Sense UI aren’t those mutually exclusive? It also says navigation using VZNavigator, what about Google Maps Nav? Opinions. http://j.mp/htc-incredible-impressions
Incredible!
@forHim247
Incredible! Amounts of radiation that is. At 1.4 SAR, might as well put you head in a microwave.
@forHim247
Ah, that reminded me of Einstein from the original C&C Red Alert, and how worthless he was in-game.
Wow, I just geeked out... bad.
@forHim247
What would really be incredible is a keyboard.
@JW If the microwave has a 1ghz snapdragon and sense ui I might just consider it. ;)
@forHim247
It has no front facing camera. Fail.
I see what you did there...
@JW - Not too bad. A lot of phones on Cnet's list are about the same. Motorola Droid is 1.49. Still prolly not a good idea to dual wield these phones with tin foil wrapped around your head.
Gotta die sometime...
@pickleJar iPhone's SAR is a fraction of that, I should add:
iPhone's SAR is a respectable 0.974.
@JW
Who knows, that may be helpful hahaha:

@darex
Maybe that's why it drops calls like they're hot.
@JW
Please, please, PLEASE, do not tell me you actually believe a cellphone gives off that much radiation to the point where it's hazardous to your health.
@iDamien
Being the first generation users of this tech we have no idea what effects it has on our health, but I'm not gonna lie, those radiation levels have me worried. The Moto Droid is the worst offender and I stay away from phones over 1.1 SAR.
yes! 8=====D
@WillSmith wait only expandable to 16gb of microSD?!
@WillSmith
It will be 32GB of expandable MicroSD, anything coming out now supports that, even the Eris and Devour supports 32GB.
@WillSmith
is THAT the pedobear seal of approval logo?
@WillSmith
8==D = 8 GB
8=====D = 16 GB
8==========D = 32 GB
I think that's what he was trying to say
@Nerdtalker
That's what she's tryin to say
@Nerdtalker:
Those are very thin shafts; any longer and they'll resemble spaghetti.
@Zachary but it says up to 16gb on that pic of the specs?
@Nerdtalker
Its got a max of 24 (16GB is its max for micro SD + the internal 8GB)
I guess I finally found a phone to replace my LG Dare with. Jeese thanks for getting with the program Verizon
Another Android phone without a physical keyboard. Guess my wife will stay on her BlackBerry for a while longer.
@WOPR
droid?
@WOPR how bout the original droid?
@WOPR my thoughts exactly. i'll be sticking to my Bold 9700 until i see a good Android phone (or Windows Phone 7) with a physical keyboard. keeping my eye on the Samsung Moment 2 for now.
