@WOPR my thoughts exactly. i'll be sticking to my Bold 9700 until i see a good Android phone (or Windows Phone 7) with a physical keyboard. keeping my eye on the Samsung Moment 2 for now.
IMO, the keyboard on the Droid gets so much more shit than it deserves...maybe because mine's the bubbled version and not the flat ones like a lot of people have... it's really weird.
@WOPR I used to have Blackberrys and bought a Droid because of it's physical keyboard. Before the droid, I would have never bought a phone without a physical keyboard.
Now that I have the Droid, I hardly ever use the physical keyboard. I am wanting to get rid of the Droid for something without a physical keyboard. That is how good onscreen keyboards are nowadays.
@sethmo Yeah I bought my Droid at launch and have never regretted it. The keyboard is so much better than people make it sound. Yes, it's flat and there's no spacing between the keys. But it's really not that bad.If you want an android phone with a phys. Keyboard, get the droid.
Oh, my wife certainly tried the Droid. She used it to type a couple of emails and promptly declared "this keyboard sucks". So she's still on her Bold until an excellent keyboarded Android phone comes out. And she's tried a number of virtual keyboards but hated all of them.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
Another Android phone without a physical keyboard. Guess my wife will stay on her BlackBerry for a while longer.
@WOPR

@WOPR how bout the original droid?

@WillSmith
He said he wanted one with a physical keyboard. The Droid sure as hell doesn't have one of those.
@WOPR
G1? Though he must mean one more Android phone w/o a keyboard.
@Steve B
What rock have you been under for 8 months. The Droid does have a physical keyboard
@DefPoet
The poster was being sarcastic. The poster was inferring that the keyboard on the Droid is terrible and it can't be described as a keyboard.

@awalk
Am I mistaken in saying that he was "implying" that the keyboard is ass and a reader might "infer" that meaning?
@ChickenGod
I have the flat one and I absolutely fly on mine.

@WOPR
if shes so dead set on a keyboard get her the Touch pro 2 and put android on it.
Best keyboard on the market!
@WOPR Has she tried Swype? It's fun AND functional! I almost never use my Droid's physical keyboard now because of Swype.
