"As someone who doesn't reside in the USA, I was wondering what would be the best way to get internet for my computer in the US for a couple of weeks? If it were Europe I know I'd look for some prepaid data. Is there anything similar offered by American carriers? A MiFi or a data SIM that I can tether from would work, but I'm trying to maintain a tight budget. Help!"
Now I have to wait in a line to have them fix my activation not going through. But at least it's in-hand.

I love Engadget. They are much more studious than Gizmodo, and they are always first on the scene with the most facts of any news source. They know their shit. Also, we as readers do have the right to a little feedback, and without us Engadget would be nowhere. It's a two-way relationship.

"You got an iPhone"...that's ok...you probably live in US or UK and you got it with an "inexpensive" calling plan, so, you can use it for almost everything...but not all of the people want to use a calling/data plan, and the reality is that it is a really expensive portable device with or without a plan, but some people keep talking about it everyday like it is a new pencil...
I want to hear about more inexpensive devices here....about Nokia, LG, Samsung, Motorola etc... iPhones are not for all and they are not cheap like pencils to talk everyday about them like everyone has one...

@Revolutionary I'm not so sure that this makes Engadget biased. They only have a limited amount of resources and when a gadget pre-sells 600,000 and probably hundreds of thousands more on the first day, it makes it easy to decide what to invest in. Why don't you start a gadget blog and cover how to use other phones? Send me a link and I'll check it out.
