Rainbow Six movie gets director

We've reported on the potential R6 movie before. Well, now it has a director attached. That director is Zack Snyder. A bit of newbie when it comes to film. He made the surprisingly good remake of Dawn of the Dead last year. In fact if we can go off on a tangent for a second, I highly recommend picking up the Shaun of the Dead/Dawn of the Dead double pack DVD. Money extremely well spent.

One thing Zack proved with DotD is that he is more than capable of producing superb action sequences. If he can bring that same visceral intensity to the R6 movie, as long as the script is there, it could well be a video game movie that doesn't suck.
