Wireless RF-transmitter sends dental X-rays straight to the PC
Our least favorite part of going to the dentist isn't the drill (though we don't exactly like it). It's the X-ray.
Those plates they stick in your mouth are uncomfortable, taste terrible, and the fact that the dentist always leaves the room before snapping the pics gets us a little queasy. If it's so safe, where the heck is he going? Now, we've got something else to worry about: medical developer Schick Technologies has produced a wireless sensor. Stick the thing in your mouth, and the dentist gets the data delivered to his PC via a built-in RF transmitter. Sure, the manufacturer claims this has "reduced radiation," but do we really want an RF transmitter in our mouth?
