The $1800 iPod case

I like to browse Luxist periodically to catch up on what's new in the Land of Things Laurie Can't Afford. Today I came across their mention of the Noreve "iPod Love" Case. It's a limited edition (20 are being custom made) soft leather case, signed and numbered, with a white gold heart outlined with 44 tiny diamonds on the front. 

It costs 1390 EUR (about $1750 USD), which is a fair price to pay when you consider it's "practical because of its strong snap closure." Fortunately, it is available in colors other than the atrocious pink that's pictured.
