Global PS3 launch?

Japan has, traditionally, gotten their lucky paws on the Playstation first. Will the third time be the charm for the rest of the planet?

The, admittedly veiled, comments come from SCEA boss, Kaz Hirai. When questioned, he gave very little in the way of concrete answers. However, some seem to be perceiving his comments as an indication of a mass global launch of some kind.

One thing is for sure. Sony swung for the fences at E3 and, for the most part, made it. A global console launch? Just pondering the logistics makes me want to lay down in a darkened room for a while.
