UniXpress USB Port Replicator provides VGA over USB
If your laptop has a USB port but no VGA output — or if you want to run two external displays — there's another option out there, in addition to the much-discussed (and much-dissed)
Tritton SEE2 USB 2.0 adapter. The $199 UniXpress USB Port Replicator from Addlogix is a dock for laptops that connects via a single USB port, and provides VGA output at 1280 x 1024, in addition to Ethernet, audio input and output, and five additional USB ports (it also works as a KVM switch if you connect a second PC — but doesn't include a fish-scaler or vegetable peeler). Addlogix claims that their patent-pending graphics engine allows jitter-free DVD playback on the external monitor. We'll have to see it to believe it; with all the ports on this thing occupied, it sounds like you'll have one busy bus, and we can't imagine it not hitting some speed bumps.
