Tactiva TactaPad: reach into your computer

When we first saw this, it was hard to imagine a non-cyber-porn use for this unique two-handed, touch-pad with tactile feedback. But then we saw the movie demo and ooooooh, we likey! The ability to use both hands simultaneously (assuming the application supports this) could be a real boon to graphical designers. That hulking device, however, doesn't leave much room for a keyboard so Tactiva recommends a split keyboard
- half on the left and half (you guessed it) on the right. Now let's be clear, this is not available for purchase (yet)
and we're not even sure if those vids are the product of an actual working TactaPad prototype or if it's just graphical tomfoolery. Regardless, at an expected retail price of $1,000US, maybe you can't afford to care.
