Xmultiple's FlashPoint ShareDrives allow USB-to-USB device file transfers

There is some truth to Xmultiple's claim that you can cut out the middle-man with their new
FlashPoint enabled ShareDrives. Xmultiple's FlashPoint technology is not USB On-The-Go...it's, er USB Sharing-On-The-Go. We have no idea how they differ, but Xmultiple is still seeking a patent. Anyway, their model is simple: connect any USB drive (read: other flash drives, MP3 players,
cameras, cellphone, etc.) to the ShareDrive, press the Load or Share button, and files on the connected devices will transfer in the appropriate direction. Whoa, what's this? The data you wish to download to the ShareDrive must reside in a "directory named LOAD" on your friend's connected device? That's fine for the devices we own and control but it's going to make receipt of our clandestine back-alley spy photos a lot less spontaneous and
"computerless" than we'd hoped. Available now in white, black and hi-yo silver in capacities from 128MB ($70) to 2GB
($230).
