How Id lost their crown

Somebody has not been taking their happy pills. Here's a good look at the 3D shooter industry, and how Id used to be kings of the castle, but these days, are just another player. It's make some interesting observations on Doom 3, which I have no doubt will generate heaps of hatemail from Id fanboys.

In it's own special way, this article brings up the classic graphics over gameplay issue. Once Doom 3 had created such wonderful visuals, there wasn't much left to create the bad guys. Remember the rooms full of monsters in Doom? I
