hamster-powered sequencer is venturing a bit too far, but The Box will leave you firmly in sight of civilization whilst yet challenging the conventions of audiovisual production. It's a 16 x 16 grid of buttons with internal lights, each button controlling the playback of samples from a connected laptop according to software rules created by the user — the platform is open and begging to be tweaked.
