Creative introduces Home Theater Connect DTS-610

Creative has introduced the Home Theater Connect DTS-610, a standalone, self-powered device that lets you connect your PC to your home theater using DTS technology. While we're a bit skeptical of Creative's claim that it's "a breakthrough in the convergence of the PC and the home entertainment center," it does seem like a pretty nifty device for a hundred bucks. One of the biggest selling points Creative is touting is that it'll let you play DRM-protected media through your home theater system without having to shut off your PC's digital audio output connector, although it will also presumably let you play non-DRM-protected media just fine as well. Look for it in September.
