JVCs Monster D-ILA

Sorry folks for not seeing this earlier, but JVC was showing off their new Designer Pro D-ILA sets off at CEDIA last week while we had our heads turned. JVC seems to be following the same color scheme that we made mention of last week with the nice slick black cabinets. They do claim to support 1080p on all the new models from the 70-inch through the 56-inch and from the looks of things, they do so via a new Texas Instruments chip new JVC 3-chip system instead of wobulation. This means that this set will accept 1080p and display 1080p in the full 1080p standard.  *sigh*

You know it would be nice if they had a set of standards, maybe even 18 standards that the manufacturers had to abide by. It sure would be less confusing for everyone if a 1080p set really was 1080p.

EDIT: Apperantly we were not the only ones to assume that the new D-ILA 3 chip system was the same as TI new 3 chip system.
