Next-gen ZVUE will support Windows DRM
Excuse us if we get a little choked up over this one, but in bringing you HandHeld Entertainment's next-generation ZVUE PMP, we can't help remembering that
we covered a ZVUE upgrade on only our second day of existence. And just as we have grown more streamlined and full-featured, so has the humble, "value-conscious" ZVUE,
with the the latest iteration sporting built-in memory (along with an SD slot),
PlaysForSure and WM DRM 10 content support,
and a rechargable li-ion battery. The new ZVUE, which will be shipping in early 2006, is purported to be the first Windows Media DRM-capable player to breach the $200 mark (actual MSRP will be between $150 and $200). And as much as we love to hate on the quality of inexpensive gear, positive reviews of current-gen ZVUEs force us to end this post sans snarky comment.
