Cheap HDMI switcher with a remote!
My biggest gripe with most HD sets right now is the one HDMI port. High-end sets have two but they often cost a lot more. There have been HDMI switchboxes in the past that have tackled the problem, but I have never seen one with a remote. Most models make you get off your couch *gasp* and hit a button to switch the input. This switchbox is cheap, has support all the way up to 1080p, and most importantly is HDCP compliant. The remote is...well...cheesy, but let me make some generalizations.
First, if you need more then one HDMI port then you are going to have a nice audio/video setup with many components. So if you have all that crap then you have a remote problem and most likely upgraded to a universal remote and we all know that there are two types of universal remotes: ones that work and ones you can afford. Finally, the remote that this consumer probably upgraded to is a learning universal remote so you can point that cheap remote that came with the switchbox and assign it to any button you want.
If you are look for a great universal remote, I would highly recommend a Harmony. Check out our review here.
