Sanyo Diply Talk voice recorder with miniSD slot

While the significance of the name is somehow lost in translation, we still appreciate the functionality of Sanyo's Diply Talk voice recorders. While the low-end ICR-S270RM is nothing special with 512MB of non-expandable memory, its big brother, the ICR-S340RM, has 1GB built in plus a miniSD card slot for expansion. Both models can record mono and stereo at rates up to 128kbps, can play MP3 and WMA files, and take external mics. And both, unfortunately,
will probably be available only in Japan so you can forget about using them to record your next podcast.
